PSHE - CAS Week 2010 from Island School on Vimeo.

This video won the overall prize in the Year 10 CAS week video competition 2010-11. Made by Grant Yim, Ewan Schwarz, Haihao Liu and Wilson Wu it is creative, entertaining and yet still shows that these students have really reflected on their CAS week experiences.

Island School: Interim Week Video 2009 from Island School on Vimeo.

Island School’s CAS Week (formerly Interim Week) is a valued part of the Island School Curriculum. Every year (usually during late October or November) for a period of a week the normal school curriculum is suspended and students are given the opportunity to develop themselves along different lines.

CAS stands for CREATIVITY, ACTION AND SERVICE and is at the heart of the student CAS Week experience. It is hoped that Island School students will experience a variety of these activities during their time at the school. For our students in Year 12 and 13 in particular, emphasis is placed on developing Creativity, Action and Service experience as part of their core Island School and IB Diploma experience.

This year our students will be involved in a wide range of experiences both in Hong Kong and overseas; CAS Week is a compulsory part of our curriculum, something that we feel provides our students with avenues for personal growth and development. In particular providing challenging experiences and opportunities to support each other and the local community.

Further information about the activities offered in this year's CAS week can be found here
