Raffle Draw 2012

We are writing to the Island School parent community to ask for your support for the annual Island School Raffle. For the past 25 years, the annual Raffle has been a major fundraiser with all proceeds going to the Island School PTA (ISPTA) and the Nicola Myers & Kenneth McBride (NMKM) Memorial Fund.

Students will be bringing home a book(s) of raffle tickets on Tuesday, 17th of January, and The Raffle Draw will be held on the 22nd of February 2012.

Early Closure 7 Feb due to Y12 Parents' Consultation

We would like to remind all parents and students that the school will close at 1:10pm on Tuesday 7th February for the Year 12 Parents’ Consultation process. Lessons 1-4 will continue as usual, but there will be no lesson 5 on that day. Buses will take students home at 1:10 pm. If your child does not take the school bus, please make sure that arrangements are made for them to be picked up at 1:10pm.

‘Night and Day’ a recital by Gloria Ellis, Soprano 4.30pm @ Island School -Monday 27th February. This is a rare opportunity to hear vocal music at the highest level. Gloria is a soprano with the Scottish Opera Company, and she will be performing an hour long recital. Repertoire will span four centuries, and a specially designed programme will enable you to contextualize the music you are hearing. This event is highly recommended for all serious musicians, and students studying music. Parents and friends of the school are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be available. Tickets can be purchased at $100 a head, by contacting Winnie in the Music Department on winnie@mail.island.edu.hk
